More interesting notes

The chapter tests can be retaken as many times as i want, AND THE QUESTIONS DONT CHANGE. hooray for multiple choice. of course, it is kinda annoying to have to keep re-clicking all the little bubbles.

“It is not worth a confrontation just to hold up the idiot”
“Avoid a collision around animals.” uh, duh.
“KE = 1/2 MV2″ the site designers dont believe in superscripts. or carrots (is that the right spelling?).
“A body in motion will continue to move in a straight line unless some force acts upon it (dynamic inertia)” Sir Isaac’s Newton , the British scientist, the LAW OF INERTIA.”
“The formula for calculating a momentum is: ” (and of course, the correct answer one of the lines give above).

and thats about all the traffic school i can stomach for one night. perhaps, if youre lucky, and if i have time, there will be more tomorrow.

  1. Go Mike!

In the driving theory test I took in Singapore earlier this year to convert my US license to a local one (which means that I’m a certified driver in three countries–mindboggling!), I had to answer questions on stopping distances, such as:
At 40 km/h, what is your reaction distance, braking distance and resulting stopping distance? How about 90 km/h?

The math was actually fun (reaction distance increases linearly, but braking distance increases exponentially–as extrapolated from a table). It was all the darn road signs that were really confusing.
