More interesting notes

The chapter tests can be retaken as many times as i want, AND THE QUESTIONS DONT CHANGE. hooray for multiple choice. of course, it is kinda annoying to have to keep re-clicking all the little bubbles.

“It is not worth a confrontation just to hold up the idiot”
“Avoid a collision around animals.” uh, duh.
“KE = 1/2 MV2″ the site designers dont believe in superscripts. or carrots (is that the right spelling?).
“A body in motion will continue to move in a straight line unless some force acts upon it (dynamic inertia)” Sir Isaac’s Newton , the British scientist, the LAW OF INERTIA.”
“The formula for calculating a momentum is: ” (and of course, the correct answer one of the lines give above).

and thats about all the traffic school i can stomach for one night. perhaps, if youre lucky, and if i have time, there will be more tomorrow.

Traffic School

So i just started doing my online traffic school to pay off that crazy ticket i picked up. There are chapter tests to take and i just got to the first one. Guess what one of the questions is:

True or False : You do not have to pay up until you are ready to take the final exam.

HAHA. I found that amusing.
ok, back to school!

New wave in radio?

I’ve discoverd an alternative to my mp3 player at work : Internet Radio!! This is an intersesting little beast, you see, cause there are lots of different channels to choose from, if you know how to find them. At first i didnt, so i basically did google searches for internet radio and turned up a bunch of random places. For the most part this sucked cause while i found music i liked, they never seemed to play more than 1 mvmt of a piece at a time (quite possibly one of the most frustrating things EVER).

That is, of course, until munie told me about live365 - a fairly conveniant site for internet radio listening. They actually played stuff all the way through! And dvorak’s cello concerto was like the 2nd song i heard on this station (it was one of the pieces i had in mind when choosing which particular channel to listen to (it was actually kinda not good, cause I was really thirsty, but couldn’t leave my desk and miss out on the music…))!!

Of course, the sound quality DOES leave something to be desired. But hey, that’s the price you pay for variety. And the nice thing about not being able to see the days playlist is that I never feel bad about leaving my desk and missing stuff. If I could see the list, then I would never leave cause I wouldn’t want to miss the good stuff coming!

easily amused?

you know whats fun?

IMing people while they are typing and then hijacking half of what they are about to say and having them accidentally send it to you.

I think thats fun.

Its not a sin!

why am i always so hungry??

it defies belief really. i eat, and then i just get hungry again.

grrrr.

sooo frustrating.

a post on FOOD.

well, tonight i had a mini orchestra reunion/nertz party. which, as you would probably assume, went pretty well.

except we had waaaay too much food. i was sorta thinkin that it would be fun to make it a dessert/nertz party but apparently that was not a particularly enticing idea to lots o people so we ended up with waaaay too much food. ive spent the last twenty minutes performing triage in the kitchen, and i still dont know what im gonna do with all o this stuff. if you have any desire for cookies, dip for chips, or marshmellow-chex mix then let me know.

Five-Oh

Well, it had to happen eventually… i got my first speeding ticket yesterday. Coming home from SF - was there to see the symphony play Mahler 5 (which, if you have been paying attention, you will note is one of my ABSOLUTE FAV’s) and whamo, the coppers pulled me over.

I guess i had it comin since i DO always drive home rather fast, but still, it was a lil surprising that i ws actually pulled over. kinda a blow.
