It aint so good no more
Funny thing about email - there once was a time when I prized every bit of email I received. I was always happy to come home and find that I had messages waiting for me.
Time have changed. Not that I hate email, but I count it a good day and find myself with 3 email messages. I think 3 is a good number. Not too much to be a hassle, but enough to reassure you that people do, in fact, think about you once in a while. Which is interesting, because you have to think: “Is it bad if either a) A LOT of people think about me once in a while, or b) a few people think about me ALL THE TIME”. Apparently it is.

Actually one of the reasons why email may seem more of a hassle when school’s over, is that without those mailing lists, the email you receive is most likely addressed personally to you, thus requiring your focused attention and effort. You can’t assume that someone else will respond, so the emails start nagging you.
DUDE. I think I can totally fake your ‘Deep Thoughts’ thing.
Another deeeep thought. Email can be thoughtless. You’re not only intruding into people’s spaces, requiring their input, but also you pass the buck of replying to them.
I’m obviously guilty of several of these crimes.
This cynical message brought to you courtesy of 3 hours of sleep.
