Funny thing about email - there once was a time when I prized every bit of email I received. I was always happy to come home and find that I had messages waiting for me.
Time have changed. Not that I hate email, but I count it a good day and find myself with 3 email messages. I think 3 is a good number. Not too much to be a hassle, but enough to reassure you that people do, in fact, think about you once in a while. Which is interesting, because you have to think: “Is it bad if either a) A LOT of people think about me once in a while, or b) a few people think about me ALL THE TIME”. Apparently it is.
ok, so i paused in writing this entry to click on a link, and then the link popped up over this url and wiped out my entry. PHWAORG. oh well, here we go again…
so, about a week and a half ago i had the opportunity to go indoor rock climbing. It was tooons of fun. you should do it. or better yet, you should call me up and we can do it together.
in any case, it was greeeat excercise. but, the highlight was the treadwall of DOOM. treadwall you ask? yup, treadwall. it was this 15ft tall climbing wall thing that rotated under you as you climbed up. pretty crazy. especially cause if you didnt move fast enough then your foothold disappeared and you fell on the ground…
anyways, this thing was AWESOME. when climbing, i think the basic strategy is to use as much of your legs as possible. but the treadwall didnt give you any time to think, so you basically grabbed onto whatever you could in order to keep your hands and feet moving up the wall. It was veeeery tiring. i think this would be a great way to workout at home. if only i had one…
Well, along the lines of favorite this’ and favorite thats, I have decided to post a few of my favorite one-line song lyrics. You get special points if you know what songs they are from.
First, an easy one:
“…sleight of hand and twist of fate…”
and, a hard one:
“…this song is the cross that I bear…”
as i write this, i realize that these one-line lyrics are actually pretty unmeaningful without the actual music behind them. That is unfortunate because I was actually pretty excited earlier today when i thought of the idea for this post.
mooo.
Hey guys, its been a while since i last posted. Next time i drop the ball you should bug me to post.
So, ive decided that i really really really like evanescence. their music really appeals to me for some reason. i dunno why.
i think maybe its the semi-dark and emotional tone of their music (kinda why i like Mahler and Les Mis so much too - esp over all of that andrew lloyd weber stuff).
